Brendan Herdlein comes to us with a B.S. in Engineering & Management from Clarkson University, along with his M.B.A. from Medaille College and 5 years of experience in metal fabrication as cost estimator and project manager. 10/14/11 | Northern Exposure! MMG has completed the dismantling of the civil war in upstate New York and we were even featured on the local news - please check out the video @ http://www.wwnytv.com/news/local/Lowvilles-Civil-War-Memorial-Moving-to-OhioFor-A-While-132562343.html. The next phase will be to remove all the concrete from the inside of the castings in order to have the restroation company can complete their repairs. 8/10/11 | Significant equipment purchases have been made this year to increase our capabilities. A new, state-of-the-art Hilti wire saw has been purchased and added to our stable as well as new diamond bladed chain saws manufactured by ICS and Reimann & Georger. |
7/5/11 | MMG Industrial is pleased to announce the hiring of Tom Price as an estimator and field technician. Tom comes to us with significant field machining experience and an excellent working knowledge of custom fixturing, fabrication and adaptation for field work. |
5/25/11 | MMG was recently awarded a contract for dismantling a civil war statue erected in upstate NY in 1883. Our workscope will include wire sawing the statue into 3 sections and rigging all sections to our Buffalo, NY facility. We will work in-tandem with a restoration company to remove the interior concrete and ready the sections for the restoration of the exterior bronze. |
12/30/10 | We have recently added a significant capability through the acquisition of a new piece of capital equipment. Our new FARO Laser Tracker ION utilizes CAM2 software and is on the cutting edge with regard to portable laser inspection and measurement. We have utilized this equipment in the past and found that it greatly increased our field productivity and accuracy so the move to purchase was an easy one. We are excited to announce that FARO will be featuring our company in an upcoming brochure which will highlight the integration of their equipment with our field capabilities. |
9/15/10 | You may have noticed that our Contact Us page has significantly expanded recently. This is due to our recent acquisition of West Metal Works on 9/1/10. We have already relocated West’s office and personnel to our adjacent facility at 186 Colgate Avenue and we are prepping the shop floor for the relocation of the shop employees and all work-in-process. West is a highly-specialized custom metal fabricator that focuses primarily on D.O.E. and D.O.D. contracts – please take a moment to view their capabilities at www.westmetalworks.com. The collaboration of West Metal Works and Metal Locking Service/MLS Machine is already reaping benefits – we have secured a significant contract with ASRC for the fabrication and machining of a custom vessel for the John Glenn Research Center (NASA) in Cleveland, OH. |
